We choose all segments of our holiday, including beaches, based on our affinities. Diversity is the common denominator of all the beaches in Dobrinjština (the region around Dobrinj). There are all kinds of beaches: sandy, pebble, rocky, protected by coves from the hustle and reality of life or wide-open underneath the clear sky and the warmth of the sun.
Two beaches stand out in particular: the beach in the Soline Bay, famous (and acknowledged) for the healing characteristics of its mud. Covering oneself in black mud is an activity that represents a necessity for those suffering from bone ache, but it also represents a special type of attraction for both younger and older bathers.
Families with children will equally enjoy the sandy beach in Šilo. Whereas the beach in the Soline Bay is famous for its status of a beach for the whole family, the beach in Šilo was nicknamed the “children’s beach” a long time ago. The sand and the crystal-clear sea are an ideal combination for children’s summer joys, enabling the grown-ups to spend their time on the beach feeling relaxed.
Among numerous bays and coves in Dobrinjsko, let us single out one of the most beautiful beaches on the island of Krk – the sandy beach in the Slivanjska Cove near Rudine, and the Komoriška beach at the entrance to Klimno surrounded by a pine forest and abounding in shade.
Dobrinjština is also a “pet friendly” destination, a proof of which is the availability of beaches intended for all four-legged pets. Dog beaches are located in Šilo and nearby Klimno and Čižići, which means that owners do not need to leave their pets and the pets can feel “at home”.
